My 8 week check can’t come quickly enough! I’m desperate to get body back!
I don’t want to be skinny, I just want to have a waist again!
At 5ft tall, my ideal weight is 8st 4 (that was my wedding day weight!)
When I was in my early twenties my weight was 7st 4, but i looked a little too skinny then, so I’m aiming to get to a healthy ‘loose the muffin top’ weight.
Having two babies so close together has given me quite a challenge in the ‘loose my baby blubber’ battle! The scales read 10 st 4 1bs today -Arghhhh! That means I’ve only lost five pounds since having Oscar four weeks ago.
My lovely midwife said ‘it takes nine months to gain the weight and can take up to twelve to shift it’ and to ‘not beat myself up about it.’ The thing is – It’s really hard not to feel low about it! you have this beautoful baby to show off and then people seem to expect you to look like the celebs do after a few weeks!
So the minute I get my all clear ( next week) to get back into shape, I’m ready to do it!
I’m combining the stroll back to shape plan using the wonderful Maclaren GTLX , with other light exercise and am going to try so hard to eat healthily too. With Christmas fast approaching- I doubt this will happen!
