Fi Star-Stone

Hello!

Fi

I live in Staffordshire with my husband after relocating from London last year with my two lovely littlies, my dog and my cat!

My daughter Betsy (2) and my son, Oscar (1) were born exactly a year apart!

I’m a qualified Nursery Nurse with over 19 years experience in childcare and have two Diplomas- one in Nursery Nursing and one in Childhood Studies I also hold a Degree in Childhood and Youth studies together with training certificates in baby sign language, sleep training, special needs and breast feeding.

I’ve worked in many different sectors of childcare, the most recent being a Professional Nanny.

In 2005 and 2006 my employers nominated me for the Proffessional Nanny of the year award. I was shortlisted two years running and made it to the final where I was awarded ‘highly commended’ by The Professional Association of Nuresery Nurses in both years.

I write articles for parenting websites and magazines and am also the Editor of ‘Childcare is fun!’

I hope I can help you with your pregnancy, parenting or nanny dilema!

Jenny Kelsall

Hi!

I’m a very proud mummy of four gorgeous children. Oliver, Daniel, Grace and Eleanor. We all live  (with my hubby of 10 years) in Staffordshire.

As if I haven’t got enough to keep me busy , I also work as a paediatric nurse on the local general paediatric ward.

I’ve been qualified since 1996, and during my career have also worked on a Neonatal Unit.

I love my job and being a Mummy…it’s what I was meant to be !

I hope my experiences as a professional and as a mum to four children can help you with your parenting questions.

Brooke Powley

Hello!

I am a single parent to Ava, who is now two and we are lucky to live in the heart of the Lake District!

In 2008 I became a qualified Primary School Teacher, working in a variety of schools from small villages with only four classes to big city types containing over 600 pupils!   I have additional training for working with children who have moderate to mild learning difficulties including reading and writing, speech and communication difficulties and autism spectrum disorders.

Once, many moons ago, I went to live in China and studied Mandarin at Beijing Language and Culture University for several months becoming (almost) fluent!  I have worked with parent and carer groups on the importance of encouraging dual languages from an early age.

I hope I can help you with any schooling concerns, accommodating dual languages in the home, and also the trials and tribulations of being a single parent!

Dr Emma Russell

Hi!

I’m Emma!

I trained as a Clinical Psychologist at UCL in London 10 years ago, and have worked in a range of NHS posts including posttraumatic stress, chronic pain and primary care mental health.

I now works as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Sussex, and specialise in cognitive behaviour therapy.

I have had first hand experience of helping women who experience emotional and psychological difficulties during pregnancy and after birth.

I am  mum to Dylan and Ben, and have experienced my own difficult journey through (and out of) postnatal depression to become a happy mum.

I can help you understand difficulties you are experiencing and help suggest solutions using both her professional and personal experience.
