Hand & Footprinting Fun!

Hand and footprinting is one of the easiest ways of creating lovely pictures with little ones.
Make sure you cover them in an old shirt or apron, and cover the florr to protect from spillages!
*Remember to use paints that are non toxic and stain free, meaning your little monster won’t look like one after the activity!

Getting started

Using a brush, paint the hand all over, making sure there are no gaps.

If you want to be super creative, you can do stripes for a bee, or mix colours for a funky flower design!

Its easy to do if you have a steady hand, not so easy if both yours and your childs is fighting a painting battle!
Place the painted hand on the paper and press down to create a print.

Once you have got the hang of it you can use handprints & footprints to create lots of different pictures.

At Christmas use two handprints to create Angels wings, or a brown upside-down handprint can be turned into a reindeer!

Have you made some hand or footprint pictures?
