Fi’s ‘Stroll back to shape’ diary

Hello!

I’m the editor of Childcare is fun and I’ve just had my second baby called Oscar, who’s #twitterbirth caused quite a stir in the media.

Oscar was born on 17th September 2010!

I have a little girl, Betsy, who is only 12 months (actually 364 days..) older than her baby brother, as I was blessed to fall pregnant again when she was only 12 weeks old!

So you see, I need more than anyone to shift those baby pounds from not just this pregnancy, but my first one too!

I’m 5ft tall (yes I’m a shorty) and my ideal weight is 8 stone 4 1bs, however, I’m going to set myself a safe target of loosing my baby blubber and not try to get back to that weight too soon!

I just want to feel fitter and healthier rather than aiming on getting into those little tight jeans in my wardrobe (I’m not giving them away though – I will fit into them one day!)

So after my 8 week post natal check, I’ll be pushing my Maclaren GTLX and start strolling back to shape using thePushy mothers work-out.

Pushy mothers have joined forces with Maclaren to create the a six-week Stroll Back to Shape programme. It’s a series of six videos and facts sheets that will help new mums exercise safely.

Pushy Mothers is Britain’s leading pregnancy and postnatal fitness brand. Founded by the country’s leading exercise professionals, they are dedicated to providing safe, specific and effective exercise for mums and mums-to-be.

They offer three outdoor exercise systems for new mothers, where women get to meet, make friends and get back into shape.

Their unique one-hour Buggy Workout is a guided walk with a qualified instructor which incorporates a wide variety of postnatal specific exercises into a comprehensive workout.

Walk & Talk with Pushy Mothers is a guided walk with a qualified instructor and is subsidised by local authorities around the UK.

Pushy Mothers on the Run is for mums, whose babies are nine months old or more, who wish to pick up the pace of their exercise regime.

Their instructor training course has been accredited by The Royal College of Midwives and awarded a commendation by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health.

If you want to join in my ‘I-will-be-fit-again-not-flabby’ campaign, and want to have your diary featured in here too, then drop me an email [email protected] and we can all stroll back to shape together!
