Urge David Cameron to sign up to the Charter to end extreme hunger!

Over 15,000 of you signed the Save the Children petition calling on the UK government to sign the Charter to End Extreme Hunger – thank you.

In response to your campaigning, the government has said it is ‘fully supportive’ of the Charter’s aims.

Now we need David Cameron to go further and sign up to the Charter. Help Save The Children achieve this by urging your MP to ask him to do just that at next week’s Prime Minister’s Questions.

One of the key points of the Charter is that governments need to act before food shortages become critical threatening the lives of millions.

The warning signs were there in East Africa before the crisis began but governments didn’t react in time. If they had many more lives would have been saved.

West Africa is today on the verge of a similar food crisis.

But this can be stopped. We must demand urgent action from our leaders. Please take action now. Contact your MP.

Together, we can stop children dying of starvation.
