Crafting fun with Little Genius Crafts!

We love getting crafty and messy here at Childcare is Fun, but sometimes, just sometimes, it would be nice to do an arty fun activity and not get glue, glitter and paint everywhere. It would be great to still have an awesome time, and get an awesome end result wouldn’t it? But how?

Little Genius Crafts very own online shop specialising in fun, creative and educational no mess craft kits for kids (particularly in the 3-8 age range) recently opened it’s online doors!

Little Genius Crafts is a new small business venture run by Michelle Wiseman.  The seed was planted for her new venture when looking for no mess craft products on line and simply not finding what she was after!

As well as wanting a no mess product Michelle wanted something fun and creative.  She was also after something you could use both at home as well as something portable you could easily throw in the suitcase or your bag when you’re on the move with everything you need included inside the compact kit. She wanted a product with an educational twist too.  It was with all these thoughts in mind that Little Genius Crafts was born.

What’s in the kits?

Inside each kit you’ll find all sorts of bright and colourful shapes already cut out and waiting to be easily peeled off to put on the collage. To add a little genius twist, inside you’ll also find a bag of fun facts about the theme – how very clever is that?!

How much?

These cute kits are available for just £8.99 (+ P&P) and each one has been individually hand-made.  In addition to a Sea Life kit there is a limited edition Little Genius Crafts Christmas kit available as well to pop under the tree this Christmas.  For more information go to the Little Genius online store here.

Our favourite crafting fun at christmas is make your own christmas crackers. The children pick their own gifts to put in side and make up their own jokes, normally better than the bought ones! Then they personalise the outside so it is truly unique to the. They are so excited to show their mums and dads their creations.

I take my daughter to her grandparents’ farm to find pine cones and we spend the afternoon gluing the edges and dipping them into glitter! She loves it! They make lovely Christmas tree decorations but we tend to put them into a big glass bowl and have them as our table centrepiece on the big day! Our daughter feels very proud of that!

My “grown up” crafting activity is making cards, I always make all my own. My three year old granddaughter loves stamping Christmas scenes – lots of fir trees all over the page, and then going wild with glitter and stars!

We are making a big bauble wreath at the weekend. I bought some with really bright colours which are made from plastic, so that Amy can join in too.
