‘I love you to the moon and back!’

Sibling bond | brothers and sisters | Siblings

It’s a phrase I often hear  in our house. ‘I love you to the moon and back!’

Boo to Oz.

Oz to Boo.

‘I love you! I love you so much!’ I hear them say.

Sibling bond

Born less than a year apart their friendship has developed over the past 3 years. They look out for each other already like brothers and sisters do. They hug each other tight when scared (this stormy weather was rather noisy in their loft rooms!) They comfort each other when they have a fall or feel poorly.

People often say it was madness having two so close together. But looking at them together, watching them play, seeing that amazing bond, well, I think it was an utterly brilliant decision.

Brother and sister

Of course it’s not always lovey-dovey. There are the little fights over toys, or disagreements over playtimes, but generally, they get along, they love each-others company.

I love the bond they have.

I love them to the moon and back – my precious two.

Aw thanks Sonia that’s a lovely thing to say. They seem to be happy most of the time – I think that’s mainly down to getting along so well. It could all change so I’m loving it now.

Such lovely pictures and words. Sibling bonds are just amazing. And the hard work of two close together definitely has it’s pay off in what they get from it, a best friend for life and a partner in crime. x

Thanks Lucy – it’s very challenging at times (and certainly was in Oscars first year) but it’s really worth it. And yes – they’re definitely partner in crime!

How lovely that they have such a great relationship. I love that my two are so close in age and that makes them little buddies, it looks like your two are very similar!

Ah it’s great having them close in age I agree, some of my older children are less than a year apart, and Kitty and Ozzy just 13 months. Harder work initially but you get all of the ‘tough bits’ out the way in one hit and then it’s just a case of sitting back and watching them play and grow together (ok so maybe it’s a bit harder than that!)

Lovely photos and lovely LOVE! x

Thanks Annie – I didn’t know they were 13 months apart! Best fun isn’t it (but equally hard work sometimes!)

Oh that is so lovely! I can imagine that it must be such hard work but definitely worth it if that is the result. There are 2yrs and a half years between mine and I don’t think they will ever be like that! x

So nice to see such a perfect bond between a brother and sister. It is rare.

Lovely photos – It must be so nice having such a small age gap (though I am sure it has been hard work!)
