Malai sensory fun – rainy day play!

Malai is an Indian cooking ingredient that has a beautiful yellow colour and is a great texture for playing with.

Today Oz decided he wanted ‘diggers and people’ in his Malai, so we set up a building site and his imagination took off.

‘The digger is stuck mummy!’

‘This lorry is getting all the sand away to build a house with!’

So you see play doesn’t have to involve expensive toys or elaborate planning.

All you need for this activity is a tray for containing the mess, some malai, some diggers and some playmobil people!

It’s often the simple things from around the home that create a world of imagination.
