Mozza Mushroom Pasta
Pasta is one of the easiest and quickest meals to preprare for growing kids. It’s also a great slow energy release food too, so will keep hunger at bay and let littlies play for longer without needing to fill up on snacks in-between meals.
Here’s a quick an easy recipe that has served lots of littlies well over the years, and now feeds my two tots!
You’ll need…
10 large mushrooms or a full pack of medium mushrooms
Garlic clove
Sprig of Parsley
Oil or butter to saute the mushrooms
roughly 1/2 pint of full fat milk
Roughly half a pack of grated Mozzarella
A little plain flour to make the sauce
Food Blender
How to…
1- Chop the garlic and saute in a little butter or oil.
2- Chop the mushrooms and add to the garlic
3- Add the milk & mozzarella and a little plain flour stirring all the time to create a creamy sauce.
4- Add the parsely and then remove from heat and allow to cool a little
5- Place in food blender and blast until smooth
6- Cook pasta (roughly 75g per person but less for littlies) and add to sauce
Serve with Garlic bread or on it’s own!
