Tis’ the season to get festy!

Camp Bestival | Festivals 2014 | Family friendly Festival

I love, love, love the summer, not because the daily routine of pre-school runs are on hold, not the weather that British summertime brings and not the ice-cream van doing the rounds (although I’m partial to a 99!) No, for me summer ti’s the season to get festy!

We’ve been going to festivals since 2000 (pre-children) and when the littlies came along we missed that summer vibe so much that we braved our first festival in Wales with a baby and toddler. Although they were teeny, they had so much fun, and we decided our festy summers would continue.

With this in mind, imagine my delight to be asked to be an official Camp Bestival blogger this summer. Me and the littlies will be packing up our festival clothes, tent, wellies and all that jazz needed to camp comfortably  and head on down to Dorset for four days of festival magic.

Camp Bestival looks like what my festival dreams are made of – family friendly, great bands (you can see the line-up here,) funtabulous activities, and camping conditions to smile about.

There are 4 different types of camping field (plus a campervan area and a caravan/trailer tent area) – each with car parks relatively close by to reduce how far you’ll need to walk with all your kit. Each camping field have their own sets of showers, loos (many of which will be of the eco-friendly and non-smelly compostable variety), tasty food stalls, recycling points and more. How awesome is that my lovelies?
