This quick and easy tea is full of goodness for littlies and great for when time is short!
You’ll need:
2 x Eggs (Fresh eggs will be much easier to poach than older eggs.)
2 x slices of bread
Butterfly cookie cutter
Mushrooms
How to:
1. Fill a large pan with boiled water from the kettle.
2. continue to heat on a low setting (simmering)
3. Crack the eggs one at a time into a cup then slowly add to the boiling water.
4. Cook for 4 minutes for a perfect dippy poached egg, or a little longer if you don’t like your eggs runny.
5. Sauté the mushrooms in a little butter.
6. Toast the bread in a toaster then cut into butterfly shapes with the cookie cutter.
7. Once the eggs are cooked – serve all together on a plate!
My two love this tea and it’s a nice quick option when time is short!
*Please note that eggs are a wonderfully healthy source of protein and are, in most cases, safe for toddlers to eat.
However, a potential egg allergy is one reason to proceed with caution.
