‘Thinky thoughts’ Journal helps kids around the world!

As adults – we all know the world feels a little scary right now, so imagine how children are feeling in these uncertain times. A global pandemic has turned lives upside down and made us all a little anxious and stressed.

For children – it’s hard to understand this new world or express how they feel during this crazy time, so Fi decided to create a journal just for them!

Writing down thoughts and fears is a great way of parents understanding how their children feel, and a great way of ‘letting out’ the upset. Stress and anxiety can cause major disruption to sleeping patterns, something Fi is familiar with in her role as a Child sleep consultant.

As a mum of two little ones born less than a year apart, Fi Star-Stone knows that parenting isn’t always easy. Her gentle techniques and approachable manner are popular with families and celebrities worldwide and many parents refer to her as ‘the nice expert!’

Working with children and families for over 25 years, Fi’s qualifications include a Degree in Childhood and Youth studies, an NNEB in Nursery nursing, and a Diploma in Childhood studies. Her bestselling book ‘The Baby Bedtime Book – Say Goodnight to Sleepless Nights’ and ‘The Wide Awake Kids club’ has been helping parents to give their little ones the gift of happy sleep worldwide and now Fi hopes this journal ‘My Thinky Thoughts’ will help kids communicate, write down their feelings, and feel less anxious and stressed during this tricky time.

In 2005 and 2006 Fi was ‘highly commended’ by The Professional Association of Nursery Nurses for her work with children in her role as a professional Nanny. Fi now writes parenting books and articles for parenting magazines and websites and is often on BBC radio and TV talking all things parenting.

Fi says, “As a parenting advisor to parents around the world, one thing I’ve encouraged is getting kids to talk about how they feel, and if they don’t feel like talking – then to write! With this in mind – I created a simple ‘thinky-thoughts’ journal for kids everywhere to write down the good, the bad, and the ugly times of lockdown during this global pandemic.”

The ‘Thinky Thoughts’ journal is available on Amazon here for £3.99
