Nice rice play – sensory fun for little ones!

We love sensory play – it’s a great way of learning through play, describing the feel, smell and taste of the play materials and today – the sound!

The sound of rice being poured ‘sounds like rain mummy!’ Oz told me as he poured it from jug to pot and back again.

A simple, sensory activity, our nice rice is simply dry rice with added peppermint oil.

And while play is important, we don’t like waste. So we save for another day or we boil it up for our very old cat with a poorly mouth who loves rice and milk for tea!
