I’ve always been a fan of letters.
Beautiful pen written letters popping through my door, there’s nothing quite like it.
The internet has brought the world so much closer, and while I love keeping in touch with friends and family abroad via the internet, it’s not so personal receiving an email is it? Not so exciting?
My two love posting letters and love getting cards and parcels but it seems to just happen on birthdays or special occasions.
Wouldn’t it be lovely to have pen-friends to write to? Send paintings and drawings to?
With this in mind, I’ve decided to set up a snail-mail pen-friend group!
Your little one doesn’t have to be able to write – my two are only 3&4, so it’s not essential! A simple picture with a name and a note added from a grown-up is still very exciting!
Hopefully if enough sign up, I’ll be able to match age ranges up.
If you’d like to be included in our snail-mail group then leave a comment below and I’ll be in touch! If you’d like help to promote my idea then please use the hashtag #Snailmailpenfriends and a link to this post!
The fun of writing and drawing and posting them somewhere – then waiting for a reply. Let’s bring snail-mail back and support learning at the same time!
