I’ve been wanting to try this little funtastic thing for a while now but kept forgetting to buy glo-sticks! The essential item needed for this project.
Today we settled down at the kitchen table to have a go at making fairies in a jar! Here’s how we got on!
To make fairies in a jar you need:
- Glass jar with screw lid
- glo sticks
- glitter
How to:
- Carefully cut off the tip of a glo-stick and empty into your jar. We did this over the sink and still managed to make quite a mess (our house is covered in glo-stick goo where we got it on our feet and walked it through!)
- Add some glitter – diamond glitter is best but we used regular glitter and it still came out pretty great!
- Screw on the lid and give it a shake!
Ta-daa! It really is that easy!
We’ve popped ours on the littlies bedroom window-sill for bedtime comfort glow, but they’d be ideal as summer garden lights scattered around the garden or on tables.
We’ve still got some glo-sticks left and I’ve a rather fab idea what to do with them, but that’s another post!
Why not have a go at making fairies in a jar – it’s really is easy fun!
