Bubble painting is one of our most favouite, messiest activities, and one that the little ones have done since they were teeny.
It’s a great activity for any age – but be particularly mindful with very little ones as they can blow very hard and you’ll not thank me for your multi-coloured walls! Also with toddlers – blowing the bubble mix often becomes sucking the bubble mix- Blurghk!
How to do bubble painting
You’ll need:
A bowl or tub
Child friendly poster paint
Washing up liquid
Water
Straws
How to:
This easy to follow tutorial will have you bubble making pretty quickly!
1. Mix the washing up liquid with the paint and a little water.
2. Blow through the straw to check how big the bubbles go. If it’s not working you’ll need to add either more water or more washing liquid.
3. One your little one has blown lots of bubbles – catch them on top of the bowl with your paper!
One they’ve dried you should have some pretty awesome bubble prints!
Tips: Use thick paper, use lots of different colours – and capture as many little bubbles as you can too – they make wonderful bubble patterns!
Cut out different shapes – we chose fish to stick on the bathroom wall! We’ve also made bubble shapes in the past and then hung them from cotton in the little ones bedroom!
