Goodbye 2013 ~ Love Each Day.

It’s been an odd kind of year has twenty-thirteen,
A roller-coaster of emotions, of nightmares and dreams.

We lost special people,
Taken away.
Tough times. Dark times.
But black turned to grey.

A family came together,
Friends rallied round.
A closeness developed,
Old memories were found.

Lighter days, brighter days,
Days of such fun.
Holidays, splendid days,
Walks in the sun.

A wedding vow renewal,
A book deal (or two,)
An award nomination,
And adventures new.

New babies, new beginnings,
Old friends meeting up.
So many drinks from the happiness cup.

But I’ll leave this year with one thing in mind.
To love and be loved and to always be kind.
To continue to help and share and advise,
To love each day like a wonderful surprise.

So as new year approaches, I’ve just one thing to say.
