Rain, rain go away – let us outside to play! No, wait! there’s plenty of fun to be had indoors and I’m going to share those fun ideas over the next few eeeks as we head towards our good old British Summer!
I quite like the rain, but there are days when it never stops and the littlies need lot’s of fun things to do indoors! This play idea is simple and free – it just involves bringing the outdoors in!
We have a rather funky water tray that the littlies adore and play with for hours outside. With all this rubbish weather they’d not played with it for a while, so I put lots of towels on the floors, filled the water tray with bubbles and warm water, and told them to get having splashy fun. And splash they did! the floor got wet, but the towels soaked up the mess.
Two whole hours later with wrinkly fingers, they let me put the water tray outside again for another day.
Don’t let rain stop play! Bring the outdoors in today!
