Inspired by Annie’s beautiful Autumn crown we thought we’d make an Autumn hat.
Leaf printing is one of my favourite Autumn art activities – we love collecting leaves on our walks then coming home and printing with them.
To make an easy Autumn hat you’ll need:
• Leaves
• paint
• Paper
• Sticky tape
How to:
1. Using the paint, colour the underside of the leaf and print onto the paper.
2. Make at least 3 different coloured prints so you can make an awesome patterned hat.
The great thing about this activity for very little ones is you’re teaching patterns without them knowing!
Betsy easily picked up the pattern with three colours, knowing which colour would come next.
3. When dry cut out the leaves.
4. Make the hat base by rolling 2xA4 paper and sticking together with tape.
5. Stick the leaf prints to the paper with the tape.
6. Measure your littlies head and fix the hat together with tape.
Ta-daa! An easy Autumn hat!
