We love Christmas here at Childcare is Fun and we really love Christmas movies, so when we were invited to attend a mini-premier of a Christmas movie this coming weekend by none other than a star of the movie, well, lets just say we got a little over-excited.
Those of you who attended #Borntoplay this summer will remember the lovely Ben Wilby, star of Nativity, (picutred right with me and my over-excited cheesy grin!) Ben (who plays Bob in the movie) was an absolute star at our charity event and caused quite a stir among our guests! Signing autographs, having pictures taken, declaring the event open – he did it all out of the kindness of his heart.
We’ve kept in touch with Ben ever since and were delighted to get an invite to the sequel to Nativity – Nativity 2! (We loved the first film – a real feel good film for Christmas!)
So this Saturday we’ll be walking the red carpet, armed with our camera to take lots of photos of a very promising young actor and share with you next week, all the festive fun of Nativity 2.
We caught up with Ben to ask him a few questions about the movie…
Hi Ben! We are really looking forward to Nativity 2 on Saturday can you tell us – was it as much fun filming it as the first?
It was lots of fun…think more action this time though!
Oooh sounds exciting! I love how Nativity left us feeling all festive and glowy inside last year – will we come away feeling the same after Nativity 2?
The story follows the true meaning of Christmas – with donkeys and babies being born in a stable! Very emotional!
We’ll remember our tissues then Ben! Your character Bob is a funny little fella that made us giggle in the first film. Are there any similarities between you and him and can we expect more giggles?
I’m just the same as my charachter Bob in many ways ~ Cheeky and yes, a few more giggles!
How did it feel working with big names like David Tennant, Jessica Hynes, Marc Wootton, Pam Ferris, Ian McNeice and Joanna Page? Did you get nervous?
Working with David Tennant was amazing ~ A proper icon to look up to. He was funny on and off set, and very encouraging to me to further my career.
Finally Ben, thank you so much for inviting us to your mini-premier this coming weekend, we are feeling very festive & love Christmas movies! Can you tell our lovely readers your favourite Christmas movie of all time?
Other than Nativity my favourite is White Christmas! See you Saturday!
Huge thaks to Ben for this mini-interview and for inviting us on saturday to Nativity 2! We are VERY excited! Here’s a sneak preview at Nativity 2…
