Persil Non Bio and Comfort Pure Supports Tommy’s!

My two are forever messy and dirty because for us dirt=fun! This is why I need a detergent that’s excellent on stains but gentle on my littlies skin.

When I discovered today that one of my favourite detergent and fabric softener brands – Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure are supporting Tommy’s I was pretty chuffed!

For those of you lovelies who are unaware of Tommy’s, they’re a charity which fund medical research to help save babies’ lives and provide advice and support to all parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy, and a healthy baby.

Sadly, each year, one in four mums-to-be in the UK will experience the heartache of losing a baby through complications causing miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth, and another 60,000 babies will be born too soon.

With a little support, these statistics can be turned around – for example in 2013, the Tommy’s information programme reached and helped over 200,000 families across the country. How incredible is that?

Available in ASDA nationwide from 19th April, 25 pence from every purchase of Persil Non-Bio or Comfort Pure will be donated to Tommy’s to help fund vital research into premature birth, up to a total of £100,000.

Unilever has been proud to support Tommy’s since 2012, helping to fund nationwide research into pregnancy loss and complications.

The ASDA partnership is the next chapter in the brands’ support of Tommy’s – after they sponsored a Tommy’s Award in March 2014. The Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure Angel Award is awarded to a partner, relative, or friend who has gone above and beyond to support someone through a pregnancy complication or loss, and proved to be a real ‘angel’.
