Wigwam, tipi, batcave, den! It’s easy to make dens time and time again, and use them for hours of imaginative fun!
Our favourite outdoor den has to be the good old tipi which we make with sticks or garden canes, drape with blankets then secure with pegs. It’s great in the dry weather and can be made in under 15 minutes! Oz often turns it into his ‘Bat-Cave’ running around the garden shouting “dinner-dinner-dinner-batmaaan!”
Dens give hours of fun, and on a hot day (we do get them sometimes don’t we?) They provide a great shade for a summers day picnic in the garden!
They also make a great sleepy hideaway for tired toddlers!
We’ve recently made a more permanent den in the garden, but it’ll be a while until it’s ready. The frame was built using a fallen down tree in our garden, we’ve planted climbing plants all around the bottom so hopefully, by next summer, it’ll be looking pretty cool, especially when we add solar fairy lights to it!
Today we made a den inside…
And then when the sun came out, we took it outside!
Even Indie dog loved our Wigwam, tipi, batcave, den!
