Daisy the Donkey, Poppy’s Planet, Monsters in my Math book and The Field Feud – Four fabulous children’s books!

Russ Brown | Children's books

We love books and love coming across new books from fabulous authors. The rather lovely Russ Brown asked if we’d like to enjoy his four books Daisy the Donkey, Poppy’s Planet, Monsters in my Math book and The Field Feud.

The little ones loved the characters and the stories, and I loved the way that the moral to every story wasn’t forced or pushed, but lightly emerged from each book.

Daisy the Donkey, tells the story of a scruffy little donkey, who wishes to repay her owner for all his kindness, it’s a lovely story, but I won’t spoil it for you! Let’s just say it’s ideal for school age children this Christmas!

Poppy’s Planet! Tells the story of a magical flying penguin who witnesses how fragile our Earth is. It’s quite a sad read for very young children, but ideal for older school-age children who are learning about our environment and hoe we need to take care of our beautiful planet.

Monsters in my Math book, is all about when all we really need is a friend. It’s a very cleverly written book and one of my favourites of the four.

Finally, in The Field Feud, Poppy and Daisy are forced to share a field, you would think they would get along just like the other farm animals do. But you would be very wrong! This was a fab read for my two who are going through that ‘don’t want to share’ phase. This lovely children’s story teaches little ones about tolerance and understanding – a great book for nurseries and schools!

These lovely books are available via most online book stores, amazon & directly from the publishers at authorhouse. They are also available on Kindle and Nook!!

Note: Russ sent us his books for review but all words/thoughts are our own.
