What our tester thought:

Betsy:

‘What a lovely, soft sleeping bag! So comfy and spacious so I could wriggle my toes! I was kept cosy all night and had a good 13 hours sleep! Mummy said it was easy to get me in and out of too!’

Oscar:

‘I had a wonderful sleep all cosy in my sleeping bag. I don’t like to be swaddled in a blanket like some new babies so this sleeping bag is perfect!’

Toddler sleeping bags

Some young children kick off their covers during the night leaving them cold and exposed and the answer to this, up until now, has been a traditional children’s sleeping bag.

Whilst younger babies love the cocoon effect of the sleeping bag, toddlers like to move around and be free to explore their environment and this can lead to them becoming frustrated at the restrictive nature of the sleeping bag.

Drawing upon all of the benefits of the traditional sleeping bag the dreamgenii® Twinkle Tog allows your toddler to move around freely, naturally and unrestricted in their bed, avoiding those upsetting tumbles as they try to get out of bed when their legs are trapped in a sleeping bag.

The Twinkle Tog allows you to change your child into their night time covers before they go to bed. If you travel in the car during the evening, the dreamgenii®Twinkle Tog allows your toddler to be unstrapped easily from their car seat and transferred to bed without unnecessary disturbance.

With a quilted outer, and a soft jersey lining, the dreamgenii® Twinkle Tog will ensure that your toddler has a comfortable, undisturbed and cosy night – quite simply a Magical Night’s Sleep.

What our testers thought:

Matthew, 2 years:

‘I wasn’t to sure about my new sleeping bag as it had legs in. I was quite upset to begin with as it did’nt feel right, but after the first night I got used to it and then one day when mummy put it in the wash, I got quite upset when it wasn’t there!’

Matthew’s Mummy, Sarah:

‘I liked the design and shape but was put off when Matty didn’t like wearing them! I also worried about the extra movement it gave him – that he might be able to get out of his cot!

I think this is a great design for traveling about at night or on long journeys to keep him warm’

Betsy, 15 months:

‘I really liked my new sleepy suit, but thought it was strange at first. I did get cold toes so had to wear socks in bed, but it really was helpful in keeping me happy in my cot. No more struggling about to move! i think my little brother will be jealous of my snuggly suit!’

Betsy’s mummy, Fi:

‘I was quite taken a back by the style of this sleeping bag when I first opened received it! It looked huge for Betsy’s age group (1-2 years) but fit her really well. It’s snuggly but roomy (if that makes sense) and she got a great night’s sleep wearing it. The only down side if any, is there is no foot in the sleepsuit, so little toes get chilly. Betsy has worn this when travelling back late from friends- it’s a great travel all-in-one as the car seat straps fit around it easily unlike other sleeping bags.’

Benjamin:

‘I liked wearing the suit but like Betsy has said, my feet got cold! My mummy also worried about the freedom it gave me in bed- I’m very active so it meant i could attempt to climb out of my cot so I would wear this for travelling rather than bedtime.’

Benjamin’s mummy, Dawn:

‘I liked the fabric and design, but think it needs feet in it to keep toes warm at bedtime. I think it also gives a little too much freedom at bedtime and Ben can easily climb out of his cot wearing this where as a sleeping bag he can’t.

We will use this for travelling- it’s perfect for that but have to say at bedtime and for Ben’s sleeps, I prefer sleeping bags to the twinkletog.’
