Halloween lantern of awesome!

I’d love to take the credit for this one, but I’ll be honest ~ it was made by my husband Richie!

The littles absolutely loved it when he made it so I had to share it with you all.

You’ll need: 

Large watermelon

carving tools

marker pen

cocktail sticks

How to:

1. Draw the ninja turtle outline on the front of the pumpkin – don’t worry if it’s not an amazing drawing as the light from inside the melon will make it look spectacular in the dark.
2. Cut the top of the melon and scoop out the insides. (Eat these because melon is delicious!)
3. cut slong the drawing lines. Also cut two eye shapes from the melon and save. You’ll need these in a minute!
4. Use the cocktail sticks to support the eyes into place. (see photo)

It really is that simple!
